Powder Magazine features Telluride

It doesn't get much better than a gorgeous 10-page spread in Powder Magazine. Read the pre-powder buzz about this season's place to be.

RESORT OVERVIEW

Nestled among the highest concentration of 14,000 foot peaks in North America, Telluride blends historic buildings and local watering holes with new world-class hotels and restaurants. After opening Revelation Bowl last winter, Telluride is thrilled to announce the opening of Gold Hill Chutes 2-5. Telluride’s incredible expansion in the past 2 years includes public hike-to access to Black Iron Bowl, Palmyra Peak and Gold Hill Chutes 6-10. Touting the combination of awe-inspiring views, unrivaled terrain, and the ease of direct flights from 9 major hubs, Telluride is truly unmatched in North America.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS

• 12/17-20: Visa U.S. Snowboardcross Cup
• February: Subaru Freeskiing Open

TERRAIN BREAKDOWN

Traversing from north to south, Telluride’s terrain naturally shifts from expert to beginner, keeping skiers and boarders in areas suitable to their skills. 23% beginner, 36% intermediate and 41% advanced/expert. There are multiple backcountry access points along Gold Hill ridge and the Palmyra ridge. Backcountry is not patrolled or maintained by Telluride Ski Resort.
POWDER MAGAZINE Perspective
T-Ride has certainly become even more powder-friendly the last couple year with the openings of Palmyra Peak, Gold Hill Chutes, Black Iron Bowl and Revelation Bowl. The plethora of terrain will keep you busy for days and have you wondering if you’re in the San Juans or Alps.
